FISHING
Beautiful Bremer beaches are a          
great place to relax and catch the big  
one.
Hook up a Western Australian
Salmon.
Fishing from Reef Beach 4WD access  
only. Get there by driving down             
Warramurrup Road.
When catching and keeping Salmon         
always remove the head and guts             
straight away to maintain the freshness    
of the flesh.
A safe place for the children to fish      
from is our Boat Mariner or locally        
known as the Jetty.Lots of little fish      
and in the evening Squid.
Watch out for our local Seal who           
hangs around the Jetty and steals the    
fish, he is very entertaining.  
Salmon size limit is 30cm as well as
Breaksea Cod (blackarse)
Fingermark Bream
Flathead
Sweetlip
Yellowfin Bream
Red Snapper
Tailor(only 2 fish over 60cm)
25 cm is the size limit for Black Bream, Leatherjacket, Skippy(Trevally),Tarwhine & Sooty Grunter.
28 cm is the size limit for North-west Snapper & King George Whiting.
40 cm for Baldchin Groper & Estuary Cod.
42 cm for Cobbler, Snapper Red Emporer, Spangled Emporer & Coral Trout.
50 cm for Blue Groper, Mackerel, Mulloway, WA Dhufish & Mahi mahi.
60 cm for Samson fish & Yellowtail King fish.
The bait used here is up to you but       
 the most common is                              
Pilchards(Mulies), Squid, Octopus and  
Mullet.
If you are fishing in the Wellstead          
Estuary(Bremer River) then river           
prawns and blue bait seem to be the     
best. You can get your bait from the      
General Store,Roadhouse or Elders     
Hardware Store.
Try Squidding at dusk from the Jetty     
or off Little Boat Harbour rocks.
Fishing from Back Beach. Very soft       
sand. Definite 4WD only.  
Herring are plentiful
Fishing from Reef Beach during the      
Salmon run is always rewarding.
Skippy are a great tasting fish and        
very feisty when hooked.
Deep Sea fishing is a great way to spend     
your day. Bring your boat and have some    
fun. Dhu fish can be caught as well as        
Nannygai, Samson, Pink                               
Snapper,Queenies, Trevally and the            
occasional Groper.
Nannygai is
great to eat
Fishing in The Estuary will see you
attract Black Bream, Mullet, King
George Whiting & Cobbler.
Always tell someone where you are
going fishing and have a certain
time you will be arriving home in
case of any unexpected
emergency. If you do not return by
this time someone could call
Volunteer Marine Rescue Service
and they can try to find your
whereabouts.
King George Whiting have lots of     
small bones but the sweet white       
flesh is tasty.
Pliers are always a must have
to remove hooks.
Always be careful on slippery rocks
